Movements. ...
Guys, I just can't wait till we are completely done with these darn movements! I don't know about anyone else but they have been kicking ends. Reading 50+ pages a night and trying to comprehend them is just taking to long! I am reading through them and trying to take notes and I just can't decided what to take notes on. I think all of it is important but it is hard trying to figure out, what the down and dirties are going to be about. The whole preparing for the saloon is interesting, you get to find out when certine things started or ended and when who or what was famous. The Saloons in class is not that bad but sitting in the same spot for 2 hours does. I really enjoyed the stretching Montana had us do in class. It made me wake up and have energy. I tried to do it at home and I just couldn't remember all the steps! Everyone presentation was really good, I will definitely be reading some books by Anais. I asked Deb about her books she told me they are more like diaries, even better! I love her name I tried to have my niece name her baby Anais and she told me NO! Roger and Ryan look so cute today (sorry guys had to say it) and the Geico guy was to funny. We needed that! One more day of saloons and down and dirties! Will got to go read the rest of the saloons and my book see you guys on Tuesday. Good Night ;}

Hey I understand how you feel I think we feel that way because we haven't gone yet (I'm so ready) but I like Roger and Ryan Gieco slide that was hilarious now who would come up with something like that umm...let me think only Roger and Ryan!!! In all the presentations were good I just can't wait to get this over with. I know after this I'm not picking up a book to read for a while they don't call this a lit class for nothing :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes I am quite overwhelmed with all this reading... on top of getting ready for Chicago, and getting ready for a cruise in a couple weeks, and working. Though I love how we are getting to know all these different movements... some are quite interesting! Roger and Ryan did look great and they were fun to listen to. Deb really got me wanting to look into Anais as well. I was at Borders the other day and picked up Henry and June. I love how she writes.
ReplyDeleteI also loved Montana's stretches. I have been doing them everyday since she had showed us. Well at least the ones I remember haha!
Olivia, I too can't wait until they are done and over with. I have to confess that I have learned a lot about each of the movements from the presentations. I don't often make the connections between the history we learned in High School and literature. It would be easier to remember it if it were taught as one big piece of the puzzle. I loved Montana's stretching and energy focusing exercises. That's definitely going in my final blog about experience.
ReplyDeleteOne more day, one more set of readings, Olivia.
ReplyDeleteStay strong, girl! There's some good stuff for Tuesday!
I am ready for them to be over too. I think that is a lot of reading too. Especially because we are still suppose to be reading our novels too. I also have a hard time knowing what to take notes on because it is really hard to tell what stuff is important, and there was one or two packets that did not copy very well or the print was really small, and that made it even harder to read. I am glad I did my presentation on the first day, but at the same time I felt like I was kind of rushed to find information and put it all together.
