The way I see myself as a writer, I really don’t see myself as a writer. The only writing I do is for school work or for communication with my children’s teachers. The last time I remember writing in a journal was in second grade and everyone knows at that age you kept every single thing you ever made. When I was a freshman in high school I found my second grade journal; it was very interesting looking back at my hand writing and see how it has improved my spelling was horrible the first couple of pages in my journal I couldn’t remember how to spell sincerely, and know every time I spell it reminds me of Ms. Richards.
As a teenager or as an adult I really didn’t keep a journal I wish I would have, I would have laughed at all the stupid things I have done in my past. In reality I didn’t keep a journal because living in home with seven other siblings would have been impossible. A journal is something you write your everyday doings, secrets, your hopes and dreams and with seven other individuals there are no secrets! I thought about buying a journal many times but I just don’t have time to write in it. I always leave it at the checkout lane.
As I am sitting here writing my blog entry; Heather and I have been texting each other. I realize this is a form of writing. You are using your writing skills to communicate with another individual. The only difference is that texting is so more fun and convenient you can do it on the move and anywhere when I was on campus today everywhere I looked I seen someone texting. Why haven’t they made a journal application to go on your cell phones? This would be a more exciting way to keep a journal! Watch out world new generation of writers coming your way!

  1. Journaling on a phone? That's a cool idea. I'm soooo slow with texting. Would you be able to actually write something substantial? By the way, some of your colleagues are using their cell phones as their "need to know" journals. I think that's cool.

  2. I agree with you. Doing a journal on the phone would be pretty awesome. I text over 6000 texts a month so it would be a lot more fun and interesting. Nice blog.
