Star Wars
I have to say, it was my first time watching Star Wars. I really enjoyed it. When I got home from picking up the kids from daycare we went to Family Video. I asked the clerk, I am looking for the Star Wars Movie, which one. I looked at him and said I don't know, so I started explaining the movie to him. He just smiled at me, and said you never watched it? Unfortunately no! We got home and the kids loved it. I was suprised! I believed the film reached such levels of popularity, for the reason that people have always been and always will be curious of another galaxy. This is a movie that combines reality and fiction. The scene where Luke and Obi-Wan go to the bar and a guy approaches Luke and tells him he doesn't like him, Obi-Wan pulls his light saber and cuts the guys had off, that was cool! This was from a Western movie! The part where Han Solo and the alien are argueing over money and Han shoots and kills him is also a real scenario. The money is a traditional symbol, they pay the bar tender to clean the mess and Solo owed money to Jabba. Everything Solo did was for the interest of money! Lucas was the protagonist in the movie, his character motivation was, hoping to gain the freedom of th Princess Leia from evil Darth Vader. I would hee to say the theme was to save Princess Leia.

Good analogy. I picked the light saber as a symbol, but of course my mind too a right, straight into the gutter. Can't fight who you are I guess. This really is a classic movie about good vs evil. Darth Vader is such a cool character. Imagine how hard it is to create emotion just using your voice. Because he has a mask on, you have to give him facial expressions in your mind. It's brilliant!
ReplyDeleteDeb, sometime a cigar is just a cigar. ;)
ReplyDeleteOlivia, are you going to rent the others for your family? I think Empire Strikes Back is the best!
