Out side blog 6/11/09 Mujeres Assesinas
I have been watching this spanish program called Mujeres Assesinas (Women Assassine's). It is a show about women if different parts of the world who kill people, and what lead them to do this. In this last show this women named Alicia, got married to her long time boyfriend (Noah). The day of the wedding she was very upset and squeezed her champaigne glass to the point where it broke in her hand, because Noah was talking and laughing with co-workers. Noah rushed over washed and wrapped the wound. Alicia told Noah, promise me you won't leave me! He replied what would make you think of such a thing we just got married! They eventually had two son's. Alicia was a stay at home mom and Noah was a successful lawyer. She was so obessed with the well being of the children, she alway thought they where sick. This lead to daily doctor visits. The doctor told Noah, I think you should have Alicia evaluated! Noah responded I told her to see the psychiatric doctor, but she refuses to leave the kids with the sitter! Their relationship starts to fall apar,t she wants to sleep with the children all the time and never wants to go out with Noah as a couple. Noah starts seeing his co-worker and starts filing for a divorce and wants custody of the children. Alicia starts having flash backs from her childhood. Her mother hung herself in the patio, and her father left and never returned. She could not bear the thought to lose her husband and children, she suffercates the boys. She is sentenced to life in prison. The next morning when breakfast was brought to her, she was found hanging. I felt if she would of got some kind of help this tragedy wouldn't have happened!

Is this a tale of fiction or is this based on true events?
ReplyDeleteDrama! Sounds intriguing. Where/when does the story take place? Do you watch it in Spanish? Is Spanish spoken in your home?
ReplyDeleteDid you watch Alias when it was on TV?
Let's chit chat about the content of your blogs. I want to steer you toward analysis and away from summary. I've got home hints!
Olivia, I love that you are bi-lingual. How awesome to be able to watch the Spanish channels. In the past I have stopped at various channels on Directv, just to listen to the lyrical cadence. Of course I didn't take a foreign language in High School. Was lucky to pass English (seriously). I am assuming that the story line you are describing is a soap opera.
